Central City Hotel Rochat - Basel

Excellent hotel with great amenities like free wi-fi, tv, and express check-in. Staff once helped me retrieve lost documents, which I appreciated. I'll return for Christmas!

The breakfasts were wonderful, the staff very pleasant and our room quite nice. The shower worked well and staff was accomodating to our early arrival. It is very convenient to both the University hospital and the Marketplace.

Visually the whole building part is very aesthetic and warm. Wooden doors and windows. I requested a room with a wooden floor and they complied. The breakfast is "excellent"! The attention 24 hs. of each shift is of experience. They speak all languages. And each of the employees always gives you a recommendation, they help you with maps and data to enjoy every moment in BASILEA / BASEL, bella BASEL ! The room's windows and classic curtains give it style and romanticism... Security by having a safe box and knowing that you leave early for a walk without being concerned about carrying valuables in your wallet or backpack... They give you BaselCARD and you can use the public transport service which "is excellent" ! Don't miss out on the museums. The bridges. The Rhine River so close to the hotel. The attention you get in every place you choose to visit.

I don't like carpets. And a channel on Argentine TV. They do have channels from other countries.

The room was really fully functional and contemporary, perfect beds. The venue was set in the very central position near to museums and other attractions and the bus stops.

Thank you for a very good stay. The breakfast is more than adequate, includes coffee, breads and meats. The rooms are air-conditioned and top-class and complete with good TV and excellent breakfast, for example.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The room was wonderfully clean, with a stunning, airy window. The breakfast was also very good, with plenty of options. Their efficient service makes it so nice to unwind after a day out! I’d certainly choose to stay here again.

Friendly staff, clean room. Kristina at the front desk was really good, helping with luggage storage and providing helpful information about the area, while the free tram pass made exploring easy and efficient.

Nothing that I didn't like.

Good value for the money! Staff was excellent for helping me with any questions that I had, especially what to do when I found out that my daughter had lost her passport. They were extremely helpful.

We didn't receive room cleaning service one day and I asked to at least get fresh towels and never received them. Lucky for me the storage closet was right next to my room so I had to help myself to the fresh towels that we needed.

We enjoyed three nights at the Hotel Rochat. We found the staff to be friendly and very helpful with information regarding the hotel and also Basel. The room was pristine with comfortable, high quality bedding. The bathroom was amply supplied with towels. There was a good quality hair dryer available. We had breakfast only once but found it to be fresh and of high quality at a reasonable price. Staff again were polite and helpful, very impressed with the quality of staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would re-book if given the chance to travel to Basel in the future.

I cannot fault the hotel at all. The only thing I would suggest is the providing of tea and coffee facilitites in the room. There was a small fridge available but I would have liked to have been able to make a hot drink in the room.

Quiet, easy, simple, comfortable. The staff was friendly (even overfriendly) and helpful, the room was clean and practical. Definitely a good value for the cost!

Breakfast buffet was a bit simple - I would have liked some fruits!
